I arrived in La Legua *our host village* about a week ago and it is so so amazing. I have come to know most of the locals and they are all amazing people. I feel so lucky to be able to help out and make friends in such a great community.
The service projects are tough work but worth it. We are building bleachers, sanding desks, mixing cement, and extending sidewalks. All of the projects are very fullfilling.
My family is amazing as well. They are all so kind and eager to make my stay in La Legua as comfortable as possible. It is hard sometimes because they don't speak English but we are still able to communicate somewhat. My Spanish is improving rapidly and I can sometimes even carry on short conversations.
I hope you guys are all well. I have noticed that I have many new faves, comments, notes, and watchers. I promise I will attend to everything when I get back *hug* You guys are seriously amazing! I hope you haven't forgotten that I am still alive XD

Just another update! We went to the beach today and I shoped at the vendor stands, played in the wanter and hung out on the beach. I bought a really cute dress that I am really happy to have found.
Tomorrow we are going to MAnuel Antonio National park to view wildlife. Tucans, sloths, parrots, monkeys.....
I am super excited! And then we are going to the host village. I am really nervous but excited at the same time.
I miss you guys. I hope you are all doing well.

Well, I have like barely any time to write because we are in a little shop that allows internet access and other people are waiting on me to use the computer but I just though you might want to know that I am alive and well in Costa Rica.

I am having a really great time in Costa Rica. Everything here is so different.....even this keyboard is confusing.
For the next couple of nights we are staying in Bunglos (Jungalos) right smack in the middle of the rainforest. There is no air conditioning and no glass over the windows but they are really nice otherwise. At night there are huge thunderstorms right over us that shake the bungalos. It is really nice and makes it easier to sleep. Later we are going on a tour of the rainforest and then tomorrow we are hiking to a waterfall.
I am so happy to be out of San Jose.....everything is so much prettier in the rainforest. But that is okay, I had a good time there anyways.
Next week we are leaving to stay with our host familys which will be really exciting. I don´t know much about the village eccept that it is small and in the jungle somewhere.

Well I could write a whole lot more but people are waiting on me to give up the computer.
