Perspective by Lucky978 Perspective by Lucky978
This is something technical that I have been working on for class, and in fact I am quite proud of it. We've been working on very technical perspective drawings, and my professor said this was spot on so far (it's hard to get a compliment out of him o.o) If you curious as to why the bottoms of the buildings don't match up, it is because one of the streets is on a ramp.
Thought you guys might like to see something different. I am in college for art after all ;)

I love perspective artwork. Whenever I've done it I've always gone for as much detail as possible as well. I should try and remember to put one of mine up on deviantart one day.

Yep, perspective is quite difficult. So Im sorry to offer a bit of criticism on Your drawing:
You should not mix objects with one and two vanishing-points in one single drawing. You should have stuck to way of doing it. Usually two vanishing points gives You more realism, but its even more difficult. For a piece like this street-view a central point might have done, but at least the objects more or less orthogonal to the street should not have rising lines above the horizon.
On the other hand: You had a difficult piece of work here with buildings angling in different directions etc. Maybe something a bit easier for practice should do.

All of the two point objects should converge at the horizon :) if it looks slightly off that might be because the picture is a little tilted. The buildings in the middle are ramped on the street, so there bases will converge with that street above the horizon. Hopefully that will be conveyed more later in the drawing.

This is so cool! I'm also in some college art classes and we just started  perspective cities.  This is by far the best I've seen.  Can't wait to see more!

Wow this is great! We're doing perspective studies right now and it's one of my favorite things! In fact we just had two graded drawings that I'm very proud of. When I get them back I may post them :)
