My dog, Liberty, passed away last night. She has been sick for the past couple of days, and last night we could tell that it was her time to go. She was very uncomfortable, so we took her to the vet to put her down in a more peaceful way. (Please do not judge for this decision. She was a very old dog and we did not want to see her suffer). The whole experience was extremely heart-wrenching. It was not an easy decision, but the vet agreed that she would've gone in the next couple hours and it would've been a long and painful process. She was having difficulty breathing and was anemic. It was reassuring that the vet could spare her a few hours of pain.
My mom, dad, brother and I were together with her as a family while she passed.
She is now buried next to her sister. A very bittersweet ending.

Its Been So long
Sorry friends for the world’s longest hiatus from deviantART! I have been posting constantly on Instagram, Facebook, and even *gasp* TikTok, but I have missed you all here so so much
A Little Update
Woowzers it has been a long time since I've updated my dA journal! As you've probably noticed, I've mostly been AWOL from deviantART other than daily posts which are pre-scheduled for the most part. I apologize for not getting to read notes or respond to comments like I use to. First and foremost, thank you all so so much for the overwhelming support and love. I don't think 2020 is going the way any of us ever would have predicted, and it is truly because of the support of the community that I am able to continue making art to share with you all. Thank you to everyone who has been able to buy a print, order a commission, and/or leave a comment or like. It doesn't go unnoticed, and I truly appreciate it! Since convention season doesn't exist this year, Tyler and I have been working very hard to make constant updates to the store, our Patreon pin of the month club, and content that is available to you all. I have been working pretty nonstop on commissions and larger projects while
An update from Katy Lipscomb:
Until 2 days ago, I had been traveling with three close friends in Peru to gain reference photos and inspiration for new work. This was before COVID-19 was declared a Worldwide Pandemic and when we left there were only 5 cases in our state and only 6 reported cases in Peru. While abroad, we visited Machu Picchu, enjoyed the local culture, and overall had a wonderful trip until the effects of the global pandemic were very suddenly and stressfully made apparent. On the evening of March 15th, two days before our intended departure, the Peruvian government declared an immediate closure of its borders for 15 days. The four of us each had work and families that were waiting for us back home in the states and now we were facing a minimum of 15 days until we would be rejoined with them. Unpredictably facing two weeks in a foreign nation where you speak very little of the language, with no apparent way home and no secure place to stay is a really scary, stressful situation. We were given 24

That is like my friends dog, Mac. He had trouble breathing too so they took him to the vet. When they came back he collapsed so they took him to the vet again. The vet put him to sleep. My friend and Mac had 12 long, beautiful years together. Anyway, you have my sympathies.
