Hey guys! I feel like it has been forever since I have submitted just a normal journal update.
To be honest, I have had a REALLY crazy busy semester. Drawing something new every single day has been so much fun, but also really taxing. On top of the daily drawings, I have had class projects, personal projects, and a few bigger projects that are confidential (but hopefully I will be able to talk more about them sometime this summer).
Anyway, summer is sooo close! I am excited to finally have free time to work on art and projects without having to pull stressful late nights.
I plan to be even more devoted to my Patreon feed: www.patreon.com/katylipscomb%2…
And I hope to open up a few commission slots!
As for other summer plans, traveling is one of my favorite things to do, so I have a few trips in the works. In early July I will be in Ontario, Canada.
At the beginning of August I will be in Boston for Boston Comic Con (look for my table if you are going!).
Finally, towards the end of summer, I will be in Europe. I am currently making travel plans, and do not yet have locations set in stone. In late August I will make my way to Rome and then to Cortona, Italy where I will be studying abroad until late November! I am very excited for this opportunity
Anyway, I hope all of you guys are having a lovely end to Spring (if you are in the Northern hemisphere). I would love to hear other peoples' summer plans!

Sorry friends for the world’s longest hiatus from deviantART! I have been posting constantly on Instagram, Facebook, and even *gasp* TikTok, but I have missed you all here so so much
A Little Update
Woowzers it has been a long time since I've updated my dA journal! As you've probably noticed, I've mostly been AWOL from deviantART other than daily posts which are pre-scheduled for the most part. I apologize for not getting to read notes or respond to comments like I use to. First and foremost, thank you all so so much for the overwhelming support and love. I don't think 2020 is going the way any of us ever would have predicted, and it is truly because of the support of the community that I am able to continue making art to share with you all. Thank you to everyone who has been able to buy a print, order a commission, and/or leave a comment or like. It doesn't go unnoticed, and I truly appreciate it! Since convention season doesn't exist this year, Tyler and I have been working very hard to make constant updates to the store, our Patreon pin of the month club, and content that is available to you all. Until 2 days ago, I had been traveling with three close friends in Peru to gain reference photos and inspiration for new work. This was before COVID-19 was declared a Worldwide Pandemic and when we left there were only 5 cases in our state and only 6 reported cases in Peru. While abroad, we visited Machu Picchu, enjoyed the local culture, and overall had a wonderful trip until the effects of the global pandemic were very suddenly and stressfully made apparent. On the evening of March 15th, two days before our intended departure, the Peruvian government declared an immediate closure of its borders for 15 days. The four of us each had work and families that were waiting for us back home in the states and now we were facing a minimum of 15 days until we would be rejoined with them. Unpredictably facing two weeks in a foreign nation where you speak very little of the language, with no apparent way home and no secure place to stay is a really scary, stressful situation.
